Product Overview
Electrostatic Discharge Control Training (ESD Control Training)
ESD Control: The Essentials teaches the basic concepts of ESD: how it occurs, proper precautionary measures required to avoid electronic damage to sensitive electronic components, how to control ESD by working in ESD protected areas and workstations, and proper handling techniques and use of personal grounding devices.
ESD Control: The Essentials is offered in 3 formats: DVD (playable in any DVD player or computer DVD-ROM) Interactive Computer-Based Version and Web Browser Version
This course was originally developed for Cisco Systems, a Fortune 500 corporation, to achieve ESD certification for everyone in its organization. It is recommended that companies train their employees in ESD awareness and prevention every 12 months.
These ESD Training programs are designed to meet the ESD Association ANSI/ESD S20.20-1999 standard. ESD training is required for electronic manufacturing facilities seeking or retaining ISO 9001 certification.

Overview
This training, which is required for ISO certification, covers the basic concepts of Electrostatic Discharge Control. 35 interactions actively involve the learner in the training. Lesson interactions provide the learner opportunities to apply what he or she has learned. The computer assesses the learner's level of understanding of all learning objectives. When the learner answers a question incorrectly the computer provides remedial instruction and reviews the material until the learner can answer correctly. All questions in this course are fully narrated. Narrations enhance comprehension and are welcome support for learners with reading skill deficits and when English is the learner's second language.
The course's exclusive Follow-up Review provides time-delayed reinforcement and review of the learner's newly acquired knowledge. The Follow-up Review enhances the transfer of newly acquired knowledge to the learner's long-term memory.
The Learner navigates through the course and its resources using the simple to use Control Bar. A complete transcript of all audio and video files is also provided with this course.
Closed Captioning is included for the hearing-impaired.
